What is the exact address?

310 Willow Ave, Camp Hill PA 17011

 Where can I park?

There is sufficient space for 3 or 4 vehicles on the street immediately in front of the home. There is no off-street or covered parking available currently. If you plan to bring more than 3 or 4 vehicles, you’ll need to use overflow parking about a half-block away on Willow. Refer to this picture for details.

Is the home suitable for infants and small children?

Yes! By letting me know ahead of time, I will have a full-sized crib setup for you in one of the bedrooms of your choosing. Also available is a highchair, pack and play, and a few age appropriate toys.

How about older folks?

Generally yes but with some caveats. There are quite a few steps to climb. There are four steps up to the front porch from the sidewalk. There is a powder room (half-bath) on the first floor. However the main bathrooms with tub and shower are on the 2nd  and 3rd floor. This will require a flight of fourteen steps to the 2nd floor and another flight of fourteen steps to the 3rd floor potentially. Unfortunately the showers or toilets are not equipped with grab bars.

Any rules or regulations I need to be aware of?

Yes, and thank you for asking 😊

No smoking anywhere inside or outside the property. If you need to smoke, please go for a walk or smoke within your vehicle.

Please keep noise and loud behavior to a minimum, especially between the hours of 9pm and 6am. This is a quiet residential neighborhood and the neighbors like their peace and quiet.

Report any damage or unsafe conditions to me immediately via the rental platform messaging app (or via text message if you booked outside a 3rd party online tool)

I’m here for the first time, how do I get in?

A secure keypad code will unlock the deadbolt on the front door. The keypad code will be provided to you on the day you check in by 3pm at the latest.

I made it in the home! What do I need to know?

Welcome! First thing: I would appreciate it if you were to remove your shoes while in the home. There is a spot for your shoes or boots by the front door. Second, please remember the keypad code sent to you via the rental platform messaging app. There are no keys so the code is the way you will lock and unlock the front door.

Your privacy is assured! I do NOT have any surveillance devices such as webcams, security cameras, Ring doorbell cams, audio recording devices, Alexa or other smart speakers in the home.

Beyond that, take a look around 🙂

The decor in here is great! Who put it all together?

Definitely check out the furnishings and design services of Sweet 504 in Camp Hill, the proprietor of that business completed nearly all of the layout, design, and furnishings selection.

It’s too cold in here (or too hot), what can I do?

The home is large and therefore equipped with multi-zone heating and cooling. There is a thermostat for the first floor and a thermostat for the second and third floors. You may adjust the temperature of each up or down as needed. Using the Mode button you can cycle between heat or cool.

The 3rd floor can get a bit warm in the summer months. Two separate portable AC units are included in the bedrooms. Use them if you would like to keep things very cool. If you’re going to be gone for a while, I ask that you turn them off or turn the temp up to 75 degrees to save energy.

Beyond that, the windows do open. Please leave the screens in place.

I’ll die without internet. What can you do to help?

The home is powered by reliable, fast Verizon FIOS service. Coverage in all rooms is good using a mesh wi-fi network. You should have fast connectivity in all rooms of the house and on the porches outdoors.

Wireless network name: Willow

Password: CampHillLove

The download and upload speed is 80Mbps which should be sufficient for about 6-7 devices without too much trouble.

I love playing music, any Bluetooth speakers around?

There is a portable Bose Bluetooth enabled speaker located in the media room on the 2nd floor. When fully charged, it will last 4-5 hours easily. Feel free to place it anywhere in the home.

Additionally, there is a soundbar and subwoofer attached to the Smart TV in the living room. You can pair your Bluetooth enabled device to this and stream music here as well. Please do not move the soundbar from its location.

Plenty of TV’s in here. Any details?

All the TV’s in the home are Roku smart TV’s designed for streaming content from the internet. Feel free to download whatever channels you’d like on the various TV’s. You will need to provide your own credentials for any channel you download (e.g. Netflix, Amazon VOD, Hulu, Sling, etc.).

Any recommendations on restaurants or things to do?

Be sure to check out the To Do page. I also try to leave a current copy of The Burg newspaper which frequently has good info on restaurants and events. In the kitchen drawer are a bunch of brochures for area attractions.

There’s food and drink in the refrigerator and cabinets. Is this for guests?

It is! Please feel free to help yourself to whatever you find. Try to be responsible and not overconsume 🙂 Also, food and drink are only for consumption while you’re a guest. In other words, please do not take items with you.

Where can I shop for some food?

Check the To Do page on this site for the nearest markets and full grocery stores.

How can I get around the area?

Camp Hill is a great little community for walking. Check out the To Do page to see some destinations where you can walk. Beyond that, your primary mode of transportation will most likely be the car you drove. If you didn’t drive, or don’t want to, Camp Hill is served by Uber and Lyft. Public transit via bus is an option too, but quite limited. If going long distance, Harrisburg is served by Amtrak leaving every hour or so heading east to Lancaster, Philadelphia, and NYC. One train per day leaves going west towards State College and Pittsburgh.

Ouch! I hurt myself! What can I do?

If it’s not too bad, I have a first aid kit under the bathroom sink on the 2nd and 3rd floors. If it’s bad, call 911, you maniac! In any case, please let me know if you had to use the First Aid kit for any reason. I want to make sure everything in the unit is safe and sound for you and any future guests.

Oh no, something caught on fire! What should I do to put it out?

There is a fire extinguisher under the kitchen sink. But if things are bad, don’t be a hero, call 911 and get out!

I got locked out of the building and can’t remember the keypad code. Can you help?

I can, using the same method you originally got in. I can open the front door from my cell phone. Contact me directly through the rental platform messaging app or text message.

What’s the laundry situation?

There is a full size washer and dryer unit on the 1st floor beyond the kitchen for you use. Detergent is provided and there is no charge to use the units.

Can I smoke or vape anywhere in the building?

NO! You’ll be in big trouble. And out of respect for the immediate neighbors, I ask that you do not smoke or vape outside the home either. Please do this in your vehicle or take a walk down the block.

What happens if I take anything from this place when I leave?

Well, if you didn’t bring it in with you, it needs to stay. That includes all the consumable office supplies, linens, kitchen supplies. Anything found to be missing you will be charged for at a much higher cost than it would be to simply replace it.

It’s time to leave, how do I check out?

Let me know your departure time via the rental platform messaging app or via text message. I’m generally flexible on check out time as long as there are no guests due in on your departure day. Let me know if you need an exception. Otherwise check out time is 11am. Please use the keypad code to lock the front door as you are leaving. Safe travels!

If you’re having trouble in any way, shape, or form, contact me immediately inside the rental platform messaging app or text message!
